After the War
World War I ended on November 11, 1918 in Western
Europe. It officially came ended when
the Armistice’s took effect at 11 AM. The Armistice’s was a document signed to
end the war peacefully. It was signed in a railway in the Compiègne Forest which is in the region of
France about 40 miles from Paris. By 1920 the war had officially ended in
Eastern Europe as well. The document was not considered a treaty and the losing
side surrendered unconditionally. The Armistice’s declared Germany’s defeat in
World War I. Many countries including Europe, Asia, and Africa were affected by
the end of World War I in the world of politics, social, and cultural change in
society.
